This course combines 20 English lessons in the morning with 4 music lessons per week in the afternoons. Music tutors are professionals with many years experience in pop, classical, jazz and many other styles. Students must bring their own musical instrument. The English and Music Programme combines 20 English lessons in the mornings with 4 one-to-one music lessons in the afternoons. Course participants will focus on their preferred musical instrument or voice training.
The music tutors are professional, world-class, musicians with many years of experience in pop, classical, jazz, Irish traditional and many other styles. Whether your preference is songwriting, violin performance, piano, guitar, saxophone, or many other instruments we have some of the best teaching professionals in Ireland.
Participants must bring their own instruments if they are portable. Some instruments may be hired for an additional fee.
Monday: Weekly Skills test and introduction to the Week’s Topic: ‘Free Time Activities.’ Discussion of holidays, and places students have visited. Timetable to be agreed on.
Tuesday: Vocabulary related to places of Interest, Reading about a European City, Prepositions of place, Pronunciation of linked consonant and vowel sounds and Listening to a conversation.
Wednesday: Developing Conversations: Giving and responding to suggestions, Vocabulary related to suggestions, Modal Verbs, Conversation practice, and role play.
Thursday: Listening to a description of people’s holiday Grammar: Future plans using future tenses and Weather Vocabulary.
Friday: Reading and Speaking, Grammar - Present Perfect, Class discussion: Experiences and Revision of Grammar, Pronunciation and Vocabulary.
